A special decoration on the tree this year. My bestie was diagnosed with breast cancer last year, a few months after her 40th. Last Christmas she started chemo on 27th December. Then this year, her breast was removed. She lost the feeling in the upper part of her arm (that won’t return) and then in the summer, part of her thyroid was removed, thankfully clear of cancer but it had to go as it was giving her difficulties. During all of that, a world pandemic. She had to face treatment alone. She has smiled throughout. She has returned to work but what has come out of everything is a new hobby, a hobby that I convinced her to start selling on Etsy. Her art is a contrast to her day job. I’m incredibly proud of her. So today’s blip is one of her creations.
