Charlie

It is finished. Finally got round to putting the singlespeed together. Pretty happy with the result for my first full build/restore project.
Decided to call it Charlie after the online shop where I bought most of the bits!

Geekery:

Original:
Raleigh 80's frame - sprayed with top quality Wilkinsons (yes the cheap shop) enamel. One undercoat, two pink coats, two gloss coats.
Chainset, brakes, seatpost, BB, Headset, Bars.

New:
Mavic rims with Halo Tyres, Michelin tubes, cheap freewheel (16), KMC chain, cinelli tape, dia compe hoods (had to buy from USA), cables + casing. Re-used my faithful old brooks!

Cost £170 - would have been £70 but I decided the 27" wheels were old, clumpy & heavy (and no one makes pretty tyres for 27" wheels!)

Only annoying thing is I've got a chest infection and riding hurts. I sound like Wheezy.
