Time to get that tree dressed. And all the rooms. And all the stairs, and even my nook. This year we’ve invested (savings from not going on holiday) in severals strings of lights run on batteries. This makes the house look très jolie. But switching them all off means that it takes an extra fifteen minutes to get to your scratcher. 
That was after watching Les Miserables - not the Russell Crowe singalong but the 2019 French film directed by Ladj Ly - a drama but pretty autobiographical. The opening half in particular was so true to life and well acted that I think we have another contender for MrP's top ten films of the year. Oh yes!
