clouds in my coffee
Yep, you guessed it - another resolutely cold, grey day here, with no discernable cloud formations to break up the monotone skies.
So, in desperation, here's a shot of my coffee. Just the way I need it this afternoon.
Had a lovely, if noisy and slightly chaotic day - two of Little G's best friends from pre-school came to play, with their mums (who also happen to be two of my best friends from the village - handy) and a little brother (not just a random extra child - one of the friends has a little brother!) So for the first time this week Littler G was in the minority, and - more saliently - we had five under fives in the house from 10am to 3pm. We decorated cakes, built a marble run, tooted on a saxophone, hammered on a keyboard, listened to some songs, read some stories, had some lunch, and then they ran around being pirates for a while... All good fun. But I really do need this coffee now!
Thankfully, my favourite farm shop are trialling a new wheeze this week - they've teamed up with a local curry house and butchers to offer meal deals of chicken pieces, curry sauce and naan breads, so - having promised the children fishfingers for their tea - very little will be required of my cooking skills this evening. Hurrah!
