Must have been ....
...a good joke!!
I think this is a juvenile as it was sitting on the branch for ages, just screeching monotonously albeit quietly. I waited for ages in the hope that a parent would fly down and feed it. Too cold and windy to stay out for too long though. Then I was distracted by a dastardly bunny coming far too close to our newly planted shrubs! See extra!
We had a good day with the munchkins. They weren't up too early and we had a nice, quiet cuddle and chat in bed. Then after breakfast they made a three roomed cubby on the verandah (it was drizzling with rain). We then made a batch of scones which they scoffed in the "eating area" of said cubby. This area was situated next to the "relaxing area" where one could browse books and magazines ;-)))
Miss E commented that this was the best batch of scones we have made so far. She did all the rubbing of butter into the flour . Master H did the milk glaze ;-)
The parents collected them after lunch.
