5 Seaforth Place

A place of special significance for K. - this is 5, Seaforth Place, London. It is quite near Westminster Cathedral and was, for many years, the home of Iris Murdoch, the writer.

K. has long held a fascination for Iris (as we call her). Not long after we met (K. and I, not Iris and I) I read a biography of hers and pieced together some of the addresses with which she had associations in London (where she lived, where she worked and some of the pubs she drank in) and devised a tour for K. and me to go and pay homage......

It was one of the best days out we have had!
