I've been out running in the dark, wearing a head torch, a few times and, actually, it's fine. However, the prospect of doing it is not something that I enjoy, and so I tend to write off the winter evenings when it comes to running.

I did want to exercise, though, and as Dan and Abi had gone out to the Royal to have dinner with their mum, I decided to walk to Booths to do some shopping, taking a rather roundabout route to get some steps in.

My journey took me past Jonty Wilson's Smithy - you can just make out the plaque - which was looking rather festive.
