Laika. I like her.

Hibernation mode has truly set in. I never, ever have to set an alarm for an 8.30am Prayer Breakfast, even in the days when it meant actually leaving the house but today I needed to, after drifting off listening to a podcast this morning. I reckon that of at least 99% of the podcasts I listen to, I only get through 50% of the content.

I was thoroughly sloth-like after PB until I got out of bed and decided to make the most of the nice day. Popped into town for a couple of things and then round to Lucy and Roddy's for some outdoors socialising and delicious soup. I finally met Laika, who was mostly just happy to entertain herself gnawing on snail's shells. What a life. Lovely to catch up with Lucy (and Roddy a bit later) before they head off to Wales for the rest of the festive period.

Took myself off for a walk to make the most of the daylight and the clear blue skies. Hibernation is guaranteed to continue tomorrow with a wet and grey day predicted. Thank the Lord for the Saturday Guardian to get you through the weekend.
