Diamond
There are many attractive slate roof patterns but I noticed this simple diamond pattern which suited my geometric pattern theme, although I hadn't intended continuing with it today. It's on the Mackenzie Cottage in Colinton where the notable Edinburgh lawyer and author, Henry Mackenzie, lived for a period. He wrote 'The Man of Feeling' in 1771 in addition to other novels and as an editor gave favourable reviews to the then unknown Robert Burns, calling him 'the Heaven taught ploughman.' The side roof also has a diamond.
