Grandchildren

We had Maddy and Leo stay last night and the four boys arrived about 9.30am as their parents had a wedding to attend. The kids were very excited to see each other and Bob asked “what are we going to do?”.....Elijah quickly responded “let’s do something naughty”. That got them laughing and they really didn’t stop all day. They played scrabble ( with some interesting words and spelling), hide and seek, and piano was a hit. Leo was teaching Charlie and Elijah and Maddy was instructing Max. Leo has had about an hour playing experience so was well skilled in the process. 

The parents didn’t turn up to collect the first two so after some phone calls they decided to let them stay another night. I must say they have been good but by 9.30 tonight I did have to raise my voice and say “go to bed now”. I’m now trying to clean the kitchen after Maddy made gingerbread. There is runny white icing all over the floor and there is egg in so many places I think the egg may have been trying to escape the cooking process by running away.
