Christmas in December

Yes I know - when else would it be?
Actually - here in the Upper Blue Mountains there has developed a (tourism industry driven) tradition of holding a  Yulefest "CHRISTMAS IN JULY" to cater for the longing many still have for a traditional Northern Hemisphere Christmas, with log fires, steaming Christmas Pudding and the possibility of SNOW (which occasionally does happen - see extra of our backyard in August last year). Most of the restaurants put up Christmas decorations and serve traditional English Christmas fare, and there is much dressing up and celebration.
Yesterday, with temperatures maxing out at 14 degrees C and dropping to 7 in the evening, it really did feel like winter - hence the log fire to complement the Christmas decorations. Most un-summer like, and truly traditional Christmas in December.
