Lunch companion

This serene figure was sitting on the window sill beside us as we had our lunch at our favourite Thai restaurant. Just a simple meal, but we couldn't think what to cook today so took the easy way out. The best part of the meal is always the shared mixed platter. Today is my dear sister's birthday, I do wish she had been able to join us. We thought of her.
Earlier in the day I drove round the village delivering a birthday card and some of my Christmas cards. Mostly I just popped them through the letter box but I did have a long door step chat with a friend I hadn't spoken to for a while.
