food for thought

Another (short) day at work. The cafe is really busy just now, which is great. Lots of bookings for Christmas lunches :-) I'll be working a few more hours next week, working up to my usual days.

A dreich afternoon. The peacock is sitting by the front door, waiting for peanuts. He and Jess have a strange kind of relationship..they get on as well as a dog and bird would be expected to, but fight over food.

D had his 'flu jab today so is expecting to feel horrible later on. He has made a huge vegetable hotpot for tea which will probably last two or three days. Must be comfort food, I think..
