Not giving in

I nipped up the garden centre this morning to get one or two things including a Poinsettia, which will no doubt die on me before Christmas.  I also picked up a pot of aconites as there are none in the garden. 

There's a bit of blue sky up there but it still looks pretty miserable.  Still only ten days to the shortest day.  Hip, hip, ...............

Shopping delivered and put away.  Now I'm waiting for JJ to make me a chocolate cake.

I've had a great idea.  JJ's office is next to the kitchen and I've just suggested we cut his office in half and break through into the kitchen creating a utility room.  "You can if you want" was his reply.  As if.
