over the price of fish.

A trip to Funchal’s fruit, flowers and fish market. It’s such a colourful space but with a strong smell of fish. The black scabbard fish is a Madeira speciality, served with banana (of which they have plenty).
Our welcome gift at the airport was a face mask and a banana.
We travelled there by bike, three of us sitting in the trailer. The man who pedalled certainly earned his 6 Euros.
