The Stare

I take pictures at the local shelter of the animals set to be euthanized to help attempt to locate willing rescues or adopters by highlighting their beauty. I have always done ok enough (in my mind) and have been looking at ways of improving their pictures.

Today, I went out of my shelter photog comfort zone and put a 50mm lens and full manual without flash. The results were mostly better than I could have hoped for. Here is the one of the best shots of the day.
