Shepherd’s Lantern

This is Dash showing a perfect example of the ‘shepherd’s lantern’.
All collies have the white tip at the end of their tail and it is said that this is to guide the shepherd home in the dark after a long day tending the sheep. The tail is held high just as Dash is demonstrating here in the fog this morning.
