No rain

Again rain was forecasted and didn’t arrive. We had a walk down the river and fields this morning, and today Hetty was leading the way.
After breakfast we made a flask of coffee and headed off for a walk. Left the village and walked along one side of the valley, down to the river and up the other side and back towards the village, just under nine kilometres. The view from where we stopped to drink the coffee looking back towards where we had walked I thought was quite nice. It was overcast but no rain, but it was cold heading back towards the village.
Called my brother for a chat and read a bit this afternoon.
Took Hetty for a short walk just before dinner and she was asleep by eight so I think I have worn her out today.
