Christmas

The countdown to Christmas has started yet I can’t rustle up much enthusiasm for it this year.
 
 The cards have started to arrive and the annual guessing game begins. Some folk confidently sign themselves with just their Christian name. That’s fine if they have an unusual name but most don’t. One arrived today signed Margaret.
I know at least six Margaret’s.
 
 
This Christmas cacti brightens up our kitchen, a ray of hope on a dark, dreich day. It did not get light until 8 am and by 1pm it started to get dark again.
