Christmas Cheer

This sweet soul greeted me on my pre-dinner walk around the village.  Shining brightly in the damp evening, it made me smile. 

I had to be organised this morning as the British Heart Foundation came to collect more no longer required items (such as a tv, telephones and table)  from us at 8am.  Good to get some more space back. 

Then it was a call to the vets to get Merlin's blood test results.  The good news is that all the indicators of his liver function which we want to be falling are doing so - some very slowly but none-the-less they are all moving in the right direction.  We hope it will be enough for the specialist vet to be content for us to hold off on any further investigations - for now at least.

Whilst I worked, Andy has been busy making a lemon cake and searching out more Christmas cards (the latter was not totally successful so another mission will need to be done tomorrow!).  Meantime, Merlin ran around hunting out slippers, socks, Andy's cap...anything he could find that he knew he shouldn't have - all of which get stored in his bed...until we discover them!
