Building
I was at my desk at 7am. I have a large pile of marking to get through before Xmas as well as lots of other things.
Marking is hard. You wanna be as objective as possible doing a highly subjective process, whilst giving fair feedback in a more balanced way that the internal voice sometimes suggests. It's fascinating to see where the students are 'at'. It's usually apparent who has put the work in and who hasn't. I often think what I was doing at their age. It certainly wasn't writing about gender equality in sport. Rather, I was 'living for the weekend', experiencing some of the best underground techno DJ's in the world and being overly hedonistic.
Come 5pm, I still hadn't done my run, had a sore head and still had to do emails.
After a cuppa, I headed out with the camera. I had 'seen' this building the other day and thought it may work as an image. I didn't quite nail it....the angles were all funny (which meant it had caught my eye in the first place) but I did my best in doing a square crop.
