Progress report

The blocks are all sewn onto the black material.  I've tried to personalise it a little.  Those familiar with Malmo may recognise some of the buildings on the blue block lower middle right (bearing in mind that it would be best viewed from the top left hand corner!).  Next job is to fix a parking garage in the top left hand corner.  Then create roads on the black by sewing white lines down the middle and give way lines at the junctions.  Since the mat is destined for Sweden, I'll do the lines and junctions for continental drivers, rather than UK ones!  I think these are going to be best done by hand.  

Then the whole lot will be attached to some batting and a backing material, and quilted - again, this is probably best done by hand.

So there's still a lot to do.
