Broken bread

My Go to bread recipe did not turn out well.
It has baked unevenly and cracked/sheared along one side.

Chef Google tells me me the uneven rise is due to the dough not being proved for long enough. I blame the cold weather and will place it near a radiator next time.

Why the Apple, I hear you ask.?

Well, my Artistic Director wafted past as I was taking the photograph and said " That is a boring picture, add some colour", and plonked an apple next to the loaf.

So here it is, a not boring photograph of an apple and a failed loaf of bread.
