Christmas Baubles

Thursday is the last day of my working week, celebrated tonight by a pub meal. The local is going in a for a low-key Christmas marked by a length of tinsel along one wall, broken up by a few baubles.

Meanwhile, preparations for the work Christmas party are heating up. It’s a BBQ in the car park with separate meat and vegetarian grills. The IT person, a chef in a previous incarnation, spent much of the day cleaning surfaces. When I left he was in the front “garden”, a blighted patch of pig face and dandelions, collecting pebbles. It could be a little bit fancy.
