Hiding from Basil
'Busy' day today. Pete came late in the morning to maintain the pond and take down the net that had been catching the leaves from the cherry tree. Badiya arrived not long after and cleaned thoroughly. So grateful to her. I have been doing some cleaning on my own initiative but I can't bend down easily. Movement is slow.
Then it was Basil's turn. He was due for his annual checkup and vaccinations at the vets. I could take him to reception but then had to sit and wait for him. It didn't take long. The young vet (was she a student in training?) brought him back and said he'd been a very good boy. She said his heart was strong which was wonderful to hear.
Then we went to walk round Dishley Pool. We'd hardly got there when we spotted squirrels in the trees by the side of the path. Basil got the scent and started barking at them. This particular animal thought its best bet was just to stay cool and sit in the fork of this branch. His policy worked.
Len was very impressed by this photo even though it was taken too far away to be capable of being enlarged much.
Extra is of Christmas light bokeh taken at the vets. Double exposure.
