It’s Rudolph!
We were quite pleased to see our dear friend stop by the bird feeders late this morning. He was alone, again, but seems to be managing okay. There was some dried blood visible on the tip of his ear and some on the back of his neck. The obvious explanation is an injury caused by a tree branch while roaming in the woods. It’s concerning how close he is to the road, clearly visible to anyone passing by. I wished he’d stay near the cherry tree where it’s more secluded. I’ll leave a few apples there to entice him in that direction • I like this photo because I caught him eating in-shell peanuts from a dish on our patio. He was a mere 5’ from our door! • The first stack of cards got mailed today. Our friend Gary stopped by to help secure ties around the lilac trees to offer additional support this winter • Roasted veggies are on the menu tonight. Plus more cards and Christmas music • Ho-Ho-Ho!
