Preparation

What a day.
My elderly aunt is now in supported accommodation; clean, warm, safe & secure. 

However we have had to tackle the decades of hoarded possessions. The belongings she wanted are moved to the new place, two vans of stuff taken to the recycling centre, I took two carloads of craft equipment to a charity, the family have taken a few items and we’ve been through EVERYTHING to check for important documents, found jewellery, rescued photos. 

Today I had a final check on what’s left before the house clearance guys arrive tomorrow.

This is all so sad ... she’d lived there for 60 years, but it is for the best. We hope she’ll feel liberated and can rest.
