Eating out

Fortunately we had an inside table at The Fox Goes Free today but it’s nice to know we’d probably have been okay outside too due to the patio heaters and hot water bottles. It was a treat to have a post-lockdown meal out on the way to the county records office for some more local history research.

I looked at some fantastic documents today, my favourites being a group of 18th/19th century perambulation notebooks from our local patch. I opened one of them at a page that described the group of surveyors as going through a field and over a stile that came out opposite the farm where we get our milk from! Small world.
