A touch of Christmas

We had our final golf game for the year today. Our usual Christmas lunch is such fun - lots of people and laughter, dressed in our best, beautiful decorations, always a cabaret act by some of the ladies, and a scrumptious Christmas meal with champagne flowing.
Today was a subdued day as we reflected on the year...how different - only a few of us stayed after the game. We were each given a snack pack with chicken pieces, sausage, chips and dips (see extra) a cup cake and a glass of champagne. It was very tasty, but the Christmas spirit just wasn't there.
We are indeed fortunate to be able to play on our beautiful course during these times - following protocol of course..
