Nobody's Child

So, two weeks ago, when all us crafters are busy doing the last few hand crafted pressies, a call for help goes out from the local community hospital. They want cosy knee blankets for their chilly patients, who find the NHS blue issue things too scratchy. OK. So many of us rallied to the call. 
I had nearly finished this one, created from my wool stash, when another message comes. Stop! We're not allowed to accept them because of infection risks!

So now there are several cosy, but unwanted knee blankets in the area. 
So sad that these weird times means that we can't be generous. 
But I'm proud of how many ladies (and a couple of chaps) rallied so quickly to the call
