The outstation bus.
I'm finding more and more that getting in close with the iPhone is enabling me to compose more realistic images for Port Appin. Here we have a Dennis Lancet ll in the West Highland fleet livery. The resin kit has been altered slightly to represent Caledonian's DSM453, one of two re-bodied in 1948 with ECW bodies replacing their 1938 Brush coach body. It was sold by Western SMT in 1949 and scrapped in 1957.
The end of cottage, just visible, is modelled on one photographed at Cullipool on Luing island south of Mull. Only the backdrop is computer generated and that is a pic of the trees behind the Garelochhead bus garage on the shores of Loch Long. I hate modelling trees!
