Cactus Dereliction

I lost one of my large cactus some time ago ... the inside just disappeared leaving just its spikes on the outer shell.  The shell has been sitting in my greenhouse since then as I thought it might make a good photo image sometime.  Anyway, today I took delivery of the final piece of kit purchased with a bonus from my company when I retired in September, an LED lightpad, and it was time to play.

Autumn leaves from the garden were the obvious choice (extra). I then tried the cactus shell, which was not so easy.  In the end I split the shell to get this abstract which I rather liked even though there is not a spike in sight!
