Looking out the kitchen window
This Wood Pigeon was sitting on the wall when I looked out the kitchen window just before I had to leave for the sanctuary this afternoon. I quickly grabbed the nearest camera and took a few photos of it, as you do. I also managed to get a few shots of some of the birds at the park later but because of the poor light none of them were as good as this one of the Wood Pigeon.
I did consider blipping another photo of the orchid's progress but there hadn't been that much change this time and my blip would have looked almost identical to yesterday's.
Getting to the sanctuary this afternoon definitely did not go as it should have. My bicycle had a flat rear tyre when got downstairs and so I had to catch the tram instead. I was automatically running late already as it takes less time to ride my bicycle there than when I have to take the tram. Unfortunately, today of all days, the public transport's normal timetables were very much disrupted because there had been a union demonstration earlier and I had to wait much longer than normal for a tram, which eventually got so crowded that even sardines in their can have more room to move than we had. Because of all this, I got to the sanctuary so late that I could only have a walk with one of the sanctuary's dogs for a half hour instead of a full hour.
I've still been coughing during the day but not as often or as badly as before so there finally seems to be some improvement. It's only the last hour or so that my cough has become somewhat worse again, but then that always happens in the evening.
