Stone throwing in the sunshine .

We had kept this watery hollow a secret from LBB , though we have walked past it many times , until his wellies were big enough and his little legs stable enough
to enjoy the stream independently. Today was the day and he really enjoyed the paddling and the stone throwing whilst we enjoyed looking on .

Today has been sunny , which lifts the spirits, and now the sun is setting , 15.46 seems very early, we can just see it from our garden room window .

In a short while we are having a zoom meeting to discuss how to meet our dads wishes over Christmas.
He has said that if coming out to my sisters for Christmas Day means spending a week eating his meals in isolation then so be it . We presume that the home staff won’t be very keen but my brother , who is our spokesperson, is very good at negotiating- a skill finely honed during his career as a Chief inspector for the police , he is incredibly polite and pleasant but also tenacious . He always has a handle on which buttons to press, but is oh so nice about it . It’s been fascinating to see him in action with regard to getting our dad what he needs . I always think about the vulnerable people in residential care who have no spokesperson or family to see that their rights are upheld.
Hope the sun has shone in your part of the world too , it makes such a difference .
