I am thankful for rain.
Evening shower after a hot day.

I love the sound of rain on the roof. Unfortunately, this has been a very rare sound in Melbourne this Summer. We are in the grips of an El Niño weather pattern so rainfall is small and the ground is bone dry.

A few thunderstorms have passed through this evening dropping small amounts of rain. It's great to smell the rain in the garden and hear it on our roof.

But it's only a splatter compared to the heavy falls our garden needs to drink. We really need more.
