Getting ready

They were getting the lights put on the tree this morning ready for the switch on this evening. As it wasn’t possible for folk to gather round the tree as usual, they arranged for Santa to walk round the village streets greeting folk outside their houses. He set off at 4pm - got to the tree in the centre of the village at 6pm when the lights were switched on, at the same time everyone in the village turned on their own lights . Then Santa continued on his tour of the streets. He must have been very weary when he finished. He will have to rest up now till Christmas Eve.
