A waving Santa

Today I got out more Christmas decorations which included this solar-powered Santa bought from the Pound Shop last year. When placed on the windowsill it’s arms wave, even on a dull day. I’m amazed this can be sold for £1 and presumably make a profit. Costs must include manufacturing - materials and labour, packaging, shipping, retail premises. Presumably the labourers in the Chinese factory earn very little....perhaps I should not be buying things like this?
