Diary of an Edinburgher

Birthday Boy!

A sunny morning, thank goodness, after yesterday’s deluge. And no icy pavements. I managed another go on my bike, which I generally do most days - it’s an easy (slightly cheating) way of getting my step count for the day looking reasonable, especially as I now watch a 40 minute programme.

By midday we wandered down the road via Rufus’s house to wish him a Happy Birthday. 15 years old! He still looks pretty sprightly.

We walked on through the Meadows - JR was heading into town to pick up something she’d ordered, but Archie and I headed back for the rugby, the final of the Autumn Nations tournament (not that Archie was very interested). And what a game it turned out to be - a last minute equaliser forced extra time and a sudden death score. It was a great game, and I’m glad England won, because President Macron is being very awkward with our last gasp Brexit Deal. But well done that new young French side - you gave ‘em a fright.
