We come from the land of the ice and snow...

...From the midnight sun where the hot springs flow...... you know the rest, good old Led Zep.

My first ice swim. I was a bit nervous and to be honest about how cold it was going to be. There was no ice to break, but there was snow on the hill tops, so I'm counting that. It was absolutely fine, yes colder than I'd know it but swimming and chatting warmed me up nicely. There was just four of us today, other had work commitments.

Back home now all warmed up. I'll be going for a walk later. Then it's mince pie and cranberry relish making later (not in the same pie!)
