Silly Saturday

I have tagged this sunrise for Silly Saturday in memory of Admirer, although it is a bit of a stretch. The Australian flag might indicate to some that it is an Australian scene but the snow on the roof in the background is a bit of a giveaway seeing that Oz is coming into summer.
Hubby and I were watching the German version of The Perfect Dinner during the week and one of the contestants had made gnocchi. I could tell from her method that it would be a disaster and I was right. I had some pork in the fridge that needed cooking so I made a pork ragú and some gnocchi. My gnocchi tasted fabulous but looked like splattered dumplings. I used spelt flour, which may have been a mistake as it is low in gluten (any suggestions?) and the recipe (by Jamie Oliver) didn’t use an egg. So Hubby took points away for presentation but gave me 9 points for taste. I should have photographed the gnocchi for Silly Saturday but didn’t think of it at the time. At least the story is a little silly.
