Silhouetted

Tatton Park this afternoon.

There were lots of people, but most of them walked along the road, too wet elsewhere. Which is where we headed, as we had come with the appropriate footwear.

Clear blue sky and a lovely sunset. Looking towards the road, with the backdrop of the smaller of the two Meres, I took a few pics of figures silhouetted against the water. Another one in the extra.

To get back to our car we had to cross the little bridge over the Brook. The extra shows the reflection of the twilight sky, and a heron hoping to catch a meal. Not long after this we crossed a boggy area of sedges and disturbed a snipe, which jiggered away quickly in the diminishing light,
