Flooding imminent

I went out for a jog as the sun set. A beautiful view across the river from the bridge, but the water’s already up and it’ll rise further as it takes a day or two to work its way downstream. Extra is even later, over the lakes on the way back. It always amazes me how much the position of sunset changes from midsummer to midwinter, even though I know why. Earlier a nice Xmas zoom catch up with my guild ladies, including a few ‘visitors’ - ex members now living far away. A small silver lining to the Covid cloud!
