Cartmel

A lovely little village with a famous abbey and racecourse which makes for a pleasant walk over the hill behind our house.  There are some great pubs and a Michelin starred restaurant as well as a number of interesting old buildings but, more often than not, people remember it as the home of sticky toffee pudding.

It was 10 years ago today that I lost my Mum.
