On a Quest

A thirsty hedgehog searches for water. I did leave some out for him, but it’s been so dry lately that the birds also use it. I watched where he went to hide and put another dish of water close by. Later the water had bits of dirt in it, telling me he’d found it. Hedgehogs, I’ve discovered, like to climb right into the water to drink.

I like the way they kick up their back legs as they walk. Look carefully to see the foot out behind.
