Dear O'H dear and Lovely Tea Jenny,

Remote controls are the work of devil.

I had ordered some led candles which came with a little remote control. Except I couldn’t work out where to put the battery. I was pressing bits, pushing bits, trying to slide the back off but to no avail.

After 5 minutes of being flummoxed, I handed it to The Youngest Mini Princess and asked if she could have a look.

TWO SECONDS LATER (yep, she didn’t even spare my feelings by making it look vaguely hard), she handed it back to me with the battery compartment removed.

It’s happening!
