Town-down

It rained very hard. I queued outside the post office for some time (in the rain) to send all my cards and gifts back to England, necessitating the filling out of eight customs forms. But the task is done :)

Meanwhile back at the house, friend D was packing to move out. I have enjoyed our time together and it feels a little strange without her (even though she is only a short walk up the road).

I visited some friends tonight for a 'chippy' tea and a chat. Took this view from up on the hill near their house; the in-between-the -buckets-of-rain light was nice. Later, walking home, the streets were eerily quiet as licensed establishments kept their doors firmly closed.
