A chilly day with periodic flurries of sleet which left a pleasant sprinkling of whiteness on the landscape which we then enjoyed later on our walk . 
This morning I spent time in the room at the front of the house which is much lighter now that the trees have shed their leaves . I shopped online for Christmas presents , watched the birds visiting the bird feeders and enjoyed the coziness of the pretend coal fire . I felt very content to sit awhile in my cosy nook . 
P.S Nearly forgot to mention that the scroll hanging on the right of the fireplace is of poppies painted by HarlingDarling , one of many of her wonderful pieces of artwork that decorate our home .
