Carpet!

Rained all night and still wet/cold this morning, showers on and off but a bit of brightness at the end of the afternoon.

Listening to the radio this morning parts of Essex had up to 2 inches of snow!  Also flooding and warnings out for road users.  I walked down to the little shop in the village to get some Christmas and birthday cards, had coffee and then finished the Christmas cake.  Also made a pear and ginger cake to go in the freezer plus salmon, leek and spinach risotto for lunch.
This afternoon I went for a walk, had the robin feeding from my hand again, saw a jay on the ground and a kestrel hovering plus later settled on a branch, good walk.  Took the blip indoors this morning as didn't think I would get a photo outside.
