Snow day

We had unexpected snow overnight and I and was thrilled to see the garden looking so beautiful (extra).  I missed having 10 year old boys then - the dog didn't act excited enough when I threw open the curtains downstairs to show her.

By the time we got up and out it was already starting to melt.  But, since there was a great deal of it, our walk to Pocket Park had to be abandoned before we'd hardly begun, as the river had come to meet us across the field and was threatening to come over our wellies.

It's pretty much gone as I write this evening, but there is still a lot of water around...
