A little bit of history.

The bell tower at St James church in Pangbourne is around 100 years older than the rest of the church building. I was doing a little testing in advance of streaming Sundays service today and I stopped and looked at the brickwork just above the door to the tower. I wonder who it was that made these inscriptions, what they were like, where they lived, over three hundred years ago.
